Senior Accountant – Onsite | Woodbury, NY

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Woodbury, NY , with working hours from Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM .

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of accounting experience , preferably with a background in public accounting and auditing , and a demonstrated history of long-term employment.

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to provide insights to management through financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules
• Conduct general ledger account analysis
• Analyze financial fluctuations and provide meaningful variance commentary to management
• Assist in preparing combined financial statements, including:
• Balance Sheets
• Income Statements
• Statements of Changes in Equity
• Cash Flow Statements
• Prepare and post general journal entries
• Support the month-end close process
• Participate in special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to public accounting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and analytical capabilities
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
